Quick Response Boxes & Google Places
One of the best tools for local SEO is Google Places, it is a requirement for local businesses to submit a Google review once they open up shop. Having patrons review your listing on Google Places is another way to send your listing up to the top of the search engines. As we know, more and more customers are using reviews to determine where they receive their products and services. More importantly, the new trend in mobile technology with the iPhone and the Android allow users to search directly on the Google Map for their nearest businesses.
By 2015, more U.S. Internet users will access the web through mobile devices than through PCs. On average, 15% of all searches on Google today are from a mobile device. How well are you catering to this mobile population? Make 2012 the year you optimize your search marketing, email marketing and website to focus on this growing mobile community. Read More.
Because of this recent survey, we are now leveraging the same technology to conveniently allow customers to add a Google Review. The following is how you can leverage the Quick Response box to get more Google Reviews for your business. Quick Response boxes are similar to a bar code but the difference is; more data is allowed to be coded or embedded inside the QR box. Quick Response boxes can embed URLs, YouTube Videos, contact information and much more. Smart phones are able to read these Quick Response boxes and direct the user to the location embedded. Smart phone users download the Quick Response application on their iPhone or Android and start scanning. Download the app here.
